Welcome to The Red Truck Ministry!

The Red Truck Ministry is a compassionate initiative inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to address the critical needs of individuals and families in Lynchburg and the surrounding region, by offering nourishment for both the body and the soul. Focusing on identified food deserts—areas characterized by high poverty rates, limited transportation options, and insufficient access to nutritious foods—we strive to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.

Our current outreach extends to four of the eight designated food deserts within Lynchburg, but we are determined to broaden this coverage to all eight areas within the next few years. Recognizing the pressing need for comprehensive support, the Red Truck Ministry is committed to bridging this gap as quickly as possible and expanding access to essential resources to all those in need.

Our multifaceted approach involves providing not only physical sustenance but also spiritual nourishment through the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We aim to foster holistic well-being by offering fresh fruits and vegetables in season, as well as a diverse array of foods including fruits, vegetables, meat, canned tuna, baby food, peanut butter, and more.

At the heart of our efforts is a deep-seated commitment to creating positive, lasting change in the lives of those facing food insecurity. The Red Truck Ministry invites you to join us in our mission to combat hunger, empower communities, and share the transformative message of hope and love. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need, fostering a future where everyone has access to both physical and spiritual nourishment.
